We visited the Lake District of Austria. Bad Ischl was a sleepy little town and Hallstadt was our favorite there, Hallstadt was a drop dead gorgeous picture perfect town on the Lake.















































We crossed the border back into Germany to see Lake Konigsee and Bertesgarten.
Lake Konigsee is the clearest and deepest Lake in Germany, encircled by mountains. We went on an electric boat ride up to see St. Bartholomews Monastary. The boat stopped mid lake and the driver blew his fugal horn and we could hear a perfect echo off the mountains, it was unique.






















Bertesgarten, Hitler's Eagle Nest had a beautiful view of the entire region.
