England 2009

We stopped by Hadrian's Wall on the England/Scotland border. It was built to mark the northern most border of the Roman Empire.

We visited Lyme Park, England, which was Pemberly in the 1997 BBC version of "Pride & Prejudice."
Mr. Darcy wasn't home. Steve really enjoyed Lyme Park!

We stopped in Stratford-upon-avon to see William Shakespeare's grave in Trinity Church.

Then we visited 4 little Hamlets in the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds are located between London and Bath and are the Thatched roof homes. We saw St. Michael's church in the Cotswold, the oldest church still being used to worship in Europe.

Scotland - August 2009

Steve & I spent ten days in Scotland and England. We went to Edinburgh to the Military Tattoo, High Street was buzzing with activity during Tattoo.

From Edinburg we drove up coast of Scotland to Dunnotter Castle ruins on the North Sea and spent a few hours there. Dunnotter Castle was built in 1392 and the ruins were impressive.

Loch Ness at sunrise was beautiful. The Loch was a deep blue color. We looked for Nessy but he didn't show up that morning. Just after these pictures were taken a storm rolled in over the Loch and it rained hard for several hours.

We drove south of Loch Ness to Moffat, Scotland. It's a great little country town with absolutely nothing going on there. On Thursdays in Moffat the "Market" comes to town, where vendors bring their wares and set up canopies all along High Street to sell their important stuff. The locals consider this their shopping day, just like going to Target and picking up what you need. It's a beautiful little Scottish town and after spending two days there we would like to have stayed a longer.

We stayed at the Moffat House Hotel in Moffat, Scotland.

Steve & Jessie Wedding -- June 19, 2009

Steve & Jessie were married on June 19th. It was so fun to have everyone in town for the celebration! The day was a memorable one, here are some photos from the temple & wedding dinner at Tuscany Restaurant. A special thank you to Jason & Taylor for the "Sisters" performance from White Christmas, it will certainly never be forgotten :)
